Decade Dates

When even a single year is too precise for an estimate, dates can be entered as a decade — for example:

1910s

This indicates the event took place somewhere in the 1910s. Decades can be prefixed with "early", "mid", or "late" for a slightly narrower range.

Note — Decade dates are not supported in the GEDCOM standard. There will be a loss of precision when exporting.
