Likelihood

The Likelihood drop-down on a fact or event allows you to flag that a piece of information is not confirmed. This is useful when you suspect a record belongs to the right person but are not yet certain.

The available options are:

• Confirmed — the default; the fact is accepted as correct.
• Probably — likely correct but not fully verified.
• Possibly — a tentative identification that needs further research.

Facts flagged as "probably" or "possibly" are shown on charts with a question mark and included in narrative reports with appropriate caveats, so that readers can see which facts are established and which are still being researched.
