By default, Pedigree Forge provides separate Forenames and Surname fields for entering names. Users familiar with other genealogy software may prefer to enter names in a single field, with the surname enclosed in forward slashes (e.g. "Charles Robert /Darwin/"). To switch between modes, go to Tools > Options and look on the Program tab.
This preference is saved and applies to all projects.
More naming fields are available on the Naming tab of the Current Person Other Detail dialog, accessed by clicking the ‘…‘ button next to the name fields. From there you can set nicknames, call names, surname variants, alias names, titles, and more — each covered in its own section.
