Many editing actions can be performed directly from the on-screen family charts, without switching to the People panel.
Right-click on any person in the chart (when the chart is not in edit mode) to display a context menu with options such as adding a spouse, adding a child, deleting the person, and navigating to related people. This is often the quickest way to make changes while reviewing the chart.
