The amount of information shown for each person on a chart can be adjusted globally. Use the Detail drop-down on the General tab of the Chart Properties panel to set the default level for the entire chart.
Chart detail level options
Higher detail levels include more facts (occupation, burial, etc.); lower levels show only names and key dates. The available levels are:
Full — every available fact for each person.
Standard — the common facts, omitting more specialist ones such as parentage of spouses, wills, probate and family seats.
Birth/marriage/death only — just the three principal life events.
Life years only — only each person’s life dates (for example 1820–1890). Folded-in spouses and any notes you have added to the chart are still shown, but no other facts.
Life years plus — as Life years only, but the person’s occupation or title is also placed directly after their name, and the life dates are shown in brackets — for example John Smith, blacksmith (1820–1890). A title is used in preference to an occupation. If theTrade at end option is set, the occupation is moved to after the dates instead.
Individual people can also have their detail customised — see Specific detail.
